If you have a website, chances are you are aware of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). But awareness is not the same as understanding. SEO is tricky to explain. We know it’s what allows a website to be easily found on the internet by user search keywords. But exactly how we can best implement these SEO keywords is another matter, and the rules are always changing.
We’ve done extensive research into SEO search rankings the last few months, and what we’ve found is that the way users search for businesses online has changed. Instead of typing a string of related keywords, most users type a question. Makes sense, because the answer should lead them to the proper website.
So what does this mean for business owners? You need your SEO keywords to reflect the answers to these questions – and the best place to do that is in the FAQs page of your site.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) is the most important page on your website. It’s also how new users can best find your business. They are typing their question into a search engine, so the best way to appear in the results is to first anticipate that question, then answer it. By asking these questions they are likely to type into a Google search screen, you can not only get a hit with and answering questions on your FAQs page with the use of keywords, you will rank high in the search result simply for being relevant. Content relevance is key for SEO, so start filling out those FAQs and watch your traffic increase as a result.
